On the morning of Saturday, November 16, the Mexico City Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro reported an incident on Line 7, where a rescue operation had to be carried out after apparently a person jumped onto the train tracks. After almost an hour of service interruption, the authorities managed to resume normal activities on the mentioned line.
Despite the normalization on Line 7, problems were reported on Line 3 connecting Indios Verdes with Universidad, due to the slow progress of the trains. Users expressed their dissatisfaction on social media, reporting long waits at stations like Hospital General, although the authorities did not provide a direct response to these complaints.
Meanwhile, the rest of the lines of the Mexico City Metro continued operating normally at all their stations, according to the institution's communication. Users were urged to take additional precautions when using this public transportation.
The incident on Line 7 was due to an alleged suicide on the train tracks, which necessitated the activation of the emergency protocol on that route. Although information about the event spread through social media, the situation did not affect the operation of the other lines of the Metro.
